Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management M&A: Summit

Summit Financial Holdings, the US wealth business focusing on breakway advisors, has brought in two affiliates: Garrett, Perkins & Horton Advisory Partners, formerly known as Garrett, Perkins & Associates; and Brad Werner & Company.

GPH, an Alabama-based firm with $530 million in assets, is transitioning from Ameriprise Financial to Summit. Led by Stephen Garrett Sr, and founding partners Mark Perkins and Brandon Horton, the firm’s complete team will remain in place following this affiliation.

In addition, Summit will also welcome Brad Werner & Company, which oversees more than $195 million in assets and has locations in Naples, Florida and Valparaiso, Indiana. Werner & Company was founded by industry veteran Brad Werner, who has spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry.
